Why I Built GardenPal
I am a landscape architect and horticulturist with more than thirty years of hands-on experience with plants, gardens, and sustainable outdoor environments. That work has been shaped by watching what actually thrives in different climates, soils, and everyday spaces — not only by what looks good on a plan.
Choosing the right plant still depends on light, moisture, hardiness, and how a place is used. That knowledge usually lives in a professional's head. GardenPal is my way of putting it in people's hands at home, so a balcony, courtyard, or open garden can be planted with the same care I bring to a designed landscape.
The matcher draws on that horticultural practice: climate, soil, and plant science, made usable. Gardens should be created to last — and the right plant in the right place is where that starts.
